What I did :
Got up early (2pm) and ran down to radioshack to pick up the following :
Keeping in mind that this needed to run at 6volts, I warmed up my soldering iron.
Took the DC Power Plug, soldered the two leads from the battery pack in the proper polarity (picture)
Nervously put the plug into my WRT54G
Results :
It works, I will have to test battery life later, but it does in fact function.
The only real worry with doing this was of course the whole...what end is positive what end is negative. Never fear, I have a high-res photo.
